Overview

The “I” Rewritten is a guided workshop and feedback session exploring how personal experience transforms through language. Participants are invited to reimagine the story of the “I”—their lived experience, voice, and perspective—through creative prompts and shared reflection. Each session serves as a quiet service for the imagination: a space of pause, presence, and creative witnessing. Together, we explore how to express truth beyond the limits of linear narrative, cultivating work that feels honest, embodied, and alive.

Workshop Format

Welcome–Time to arrive together in quiet focus.
Guided Prompts–Thoughtfully designed exercises to invite reflection and discovery. Writing Time–45 minutes of uninterrupted space to write.
Optional Share-Back–Opportunities to read aloud and listen to others’ work. Reflection–A brief close before parting.

Each participant also receives personalized written feedback on up to three pages of their work following the workshop, highlighting strengths, deepening opportunities, and revision pathways.

Access & Care

No recordings are made to honor privacy.
Camera off and quiet participation are always welcome.
Sliding scale and no-cost seats available through the Community Care Initiative.

Facilitator

Led by Annabelle Fern Praznik, MFA—poet, educator, and editor with a background in university teaching and specialization in speculative poetics and hybrid forms. Her work lives at the intersection of recovery, voice, and artistic innovation.
